So I had a conference call meeting with my boss this afternoon and he makes this comment to me...
"We missed you at National Meeting this year but you were there with us in spirit..."
WTF? I WANTED TO GO TO THE MEETING! It was not my choice not to be there, it was HIS! How am I supposed to interpret that? Do I say something to him that I wanted to be there and am disappointed that I wasn't allowed to go? It's bad enough that I'm exiled all the way up here in Pittsburgh (I know - my own doing) but I miss the team feeling of the Marketing department and wish I could have celebrated with them. What to do, what to do?
